Introduction
Every time a customer refreshes their Salesforce sandbox, they need to make sure that the endpoints are configured correctly in the sandbox. No changes should be made in the production environment. The customers can perform the following steps on their own or ask, the SearchUnify team to do it after sharing admin access to their Salesforce Org.
Setup Community Search Client
- Go to the App Launcher and find SearchUnify configuration.

Open your Salesforce Org. Them from the home page, click on the Setup gear and click ‘Setup’.

From the Quick Find box, search for Remote Site Settings and click on it from the results.

Click New.

Create a new setting record with SearchUnify sandbox admin panel URL (https://customerid.searchunify.com and name it ‘Searchunify_endpoint’.

Create another setting record for the URL given on the SearchUnify configuration screen (as highlighted in the below image) and name it ‘Searchunify_SF_endpoint’.
- Go back to the SearchUnify Configuration tab and select Lightning as the search platform.
- Select your Community to set up the search.

After selecting the community endpoint, UID is auto-populated. The provision key is provided by the SearchUnify team.

Add the SearchPage URL.

Add 120 minutes as the Session timeout value.

Click Process. NOTE. Don't click Process twice. Wait for the "Successful Configuration" message to appear.
Setup Service Console Search
- Go to the App Launcher and navigate to SearchUnify Configuration.

Select your Service Console (or your console app).

Add Endpoint, UID, and Provision Key:
End Point - https://[example].searchunify.com/admin-login
Provision Key - Your provision key
UID - Your UID -
Add 120 minutes as the session timeout value.

Click Process.
Setup for Internal Search Client

Add Endpoint, UID, and Provision Key:
End Point - https://[example].searchunify.com/admin-login
Provision Key - Your provision key
UID - Your UID -
Add 120 minutes as the session timeout value.

Click Process.

Go to the App Launcher and navigate to SearchUnify Internal. Click on it to open the Internal Search app.
Authentication of Salesforce Content Source

Open the Admin Panel [https://[example].searchunify.com/admin-login].

Click Content Sources.
- Click on the edit button ahead of your Salesforce content Source. (ORDER)
- Under the Authentication tab, click Connect.
NOTE. You should have admin access in Salesforce (Production and Sandbox) and SearchUnify to be able to connect.
- Enter your credentials to log in and complete the authentication process.
