Solution
The error message “Subsequent crawling was stuck number times” pops up on frequency crawls. A way to resolve the issue is to stop the crawling yourself by clicking STOP CRAWL in the Actions column.
A manual stop kills the crawling process and enables the next frequency crawl to start from scratch, thus increasing the probability of the next crawl will be successful.
To find out if the ongoing crawl is manual or frequency, notice the message in the Last Sync column. If the message starts with Automatic crawl started on, then it's a frequency crawl. But if the message starts with Manual crawl started on, then it's a manual crawl.
Note: Press STOP CRAWL only when (a) the frequency crawling isn’t moving and (b) no data is being indexed. Use the CRAWL LOGS function to find out if a frequency crawl is in progress or stuck. If a crawl is in progress, then do not press STOP CRAWL. The button is to be pressed only when you see the following error message:
