Solution

In Higher Logic, new communities are not picked for indexing automatically during frequency crawls. After adding a new community or communities, an admin has to reindex the Higher Logic content source so that data from new communities is indexed in the next frequency crawl. The steps to reindex a Higher Logic content source are:

1. Go to Content Sources.
2. Open Higher Logic for editing.
3. Click Rules.
4. Click By Communities.
5. Click Reindex to view new communities and then check the ones that should be indexed in the next frequency crawl.
6. Save.

Now the content from new communities should show up in search.
