Resolution
Well, you can remove an object from a content source but this is possible only for Salesforce, Contentful, and website content sources. Admins can add and delete an object to crawl and to remove data from the SU index respectively.
Steps to remove an object from a content source:
- From the admin panel, navigate to Content source -> Select the Content Source -> Edit.
- Go to the Rules tab and there you will see all the objects added for indexing. Use the delete button from the Actions column to delete the object that you no longer wish to index in search results.
Important Note: Removing the object will only hide its data from search results. Since it’s a soft delete, the count of crawled data in the content source will remain the same unless you perform a manual crawl.
