How to handle Archived Knowledge Articles?
Today in our search client, which is embedded as an iframe, engineers see ALL content. I want that Archive KBs not be displayed in the default search as the KCS guide states, "The article is logically deleted from the knowledge base so that it will no longer be presented in a search results or browse function. It can still be viewed from a previously linked incident or by an advanced search function that includes archived knowledge articles."
However, I can't figure out how to do this within SearchUnify. The options that exist today are:
I asked a friend who uses SFDC and they only include published in the default search (which isn't federated) and can access the archive through Advanced Search. That seems pretty cool.
Does anyone have any ideas/solutions around this or possibly desire a feature like accessing archived KBs through Advanced Search only keeping the data within SearchUnify?
However, I can't figure out how to do this within SearchUnify. The options that exist today are:
- demote KB articles with status = archived in the SearchTuning options starting in Colubridae
- not include KB with status = archive in the indexing (but they need to be findable)
- run a weekly/monthly script to remove archive KBs from SearchUnify and put them into a search archive search (with our other archive data) - this is ideal, but is this how others are doing it too?

Hey Christie Morin as you know SU automatically deletes archived articles periodically but due to this no archived article is available in search results by any way ( either direct or advance search ). Till now none of such request came through. But in SU there is feature of formula in which you can make archived articles searchable to specific profiles if we stop auto removal of archived article feature. 0
