The Kickoff phase of Onboarding is where we introduce the team and outline what to expect before the project begins. It sets the foundation for a successful project by aligning key business goals, scope, priorities, timelines, stakeholders, and governance.
Let's explore the Kickoff Meeting and what it entails. (watch video)
Introductions to the Teams
We start the Kickoff by introducing the teams, structure, and setting expectations.
You'll meet the Project Manager and Technical Manager who are your primary points of contact.
Additional team members may join the kickoff call, but work behind the scenes to ensure a smooth implementation.
We then introduce the members of your team.
This helps us identify key contacts for any questions.
Implementation Methodology
After the introductions, we explain our implementation methodology - a structured approach for planning, organizing, and managing the project to ensure efficient, effective delivery.
Risk Factors and Mitigation Strategies
The Kickoff meeting also addresses Risk Factors and Mitigation Strategies.
With extensive implementation experience, SearchUnify identifies and categorizes common risks and their impact on the project timeline. Not all risks have the same likelihood or impact, but avoiding them is critical for project success.
Escalation Matrix
SearchUnify establishes an Escalation Matrix for any implementation issues that need escalation. All issues are assigned to the Project Manager, but should there ever be a need to escalate an issue, the Director of Professional Services will be alerted and take necessary action.
